Jacob Walter

As promised, here is the update on my second boy. Jake started preschool in September and is really happy there. What a blessing that is coming from our last experience with preschool. We LOVE his teacher and he loves all the painting and crafts he gets to do. He is becoming such a big boy. I can't believe he will be 5 in 6 months! He was my baby for so long!

He has the funniest way of talking. He's such a little surfer dude the way he talks. It is super funny, but sometimes we have to remind him that some of the things might not be very appropriate. It is not uncommon to hear the following phrases come out of his mouth:
1) " Dude mom, that's like, totally not cool."
2) " Dude, that is so freakin' awesome!"
3) " What the?"
4) " Dude, how the heck did you do that?"

His Favorites Things Right Now:
All things Star Wars
Pretending to be Indiana Jones
Playing "Letters on the Loose".
Oatmeal
Trains

He is such a funny boy. He is sweet and sensitive and always willing to share anything he has. He is really an incredible kid. He is becoming such a good, protective big brother to Christian and is pretty much his big brother Ben's biggest admirer. They have such a good relationship and are constantly making each other laugh. It makes it really easy for me because they play so much together, so I don't have to entertain them too much. Anyway, here are some pictures of our boy and his happenings..

Christian is 10.5 months.

One day soon buddy.

what's up dude's?

Here he is chewing on a cord that's plugged in....

He's such a helper! Here he is "unloading" the pantry for me.

Also a"helper" with the wipes....

And don't forget the laundry.....

And here is poor Christian with Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease. He had a ton of sores in his mouth and on his face. It was miserable. The poor guy didn't eat anything for the first couple days and then starting drinking a bottle, atleast. He went 8 days without solid food. He has definitely got more than his fair share of illnesses being the youngest of 3 boys!

Christian is such a great baby. We have thoroughly enjoyed watching him grow and mature. Well, he hasn't done a ton of growing, but he sure has matured. He is still wearing his 3-6 month clothing, but is ready now to move up to 6-9 months. For sure the smallest of our boys. But he is so stinkin' cute and fun! We call him "midge" (short for Midget - I know, nice right?) and the travel sized version of Ben. We also call him Crishy which I never thought you would have heard come out of my mouth. Anyway, he is still such a sweet, even tempered boy who loves his brothers and loves being a part of the action. He is a fast little crawler and pulling up onto everything. I think he will be walking in the next month. As you can see from the pictures above, he is loving getting into everything. He is such a fun boy, spilled cheerios and all!

Harvey family 6 month update

So, you know how you get so behind in something, you feel overwhelmed and just avoid it all together? Well, that pretty much sums up this blog. I suck. No other way to say it or sugar coat it. But, like all things, I will persevere and try harder.

So, for journaling purposes, I will touch on a couple of the great events of the last, oh I don't know, 6 months! Let's see, Ryan's birthday. We had a great time lawn bowling. Yes, you read that right. Lawn bowling and bbq'ing with friends and family at my mom's lawn bowling club. It was a super fun day.

Next, my mom and dad's 60th birthday parties. We had a fun "all things Patty" party and even dressed up like her thru the years. It was pretty classic. Ryan and I made her a DVD slideshow of her life, which turned out really cool, considering it was the first one we had ever done. For my dad's, my brother and I took him out for a day of fun. Riding our bikes to breakfast, lunch, movies, massages! It was a great day. We also made a DVD for my dad which turned out really cool too, especially since we had had a little practice with my mom's.

I'm sure many other cool things happened, like Christian growing up and hitting fun milestones, but I am a bad mom who took lots of photos of the progress, but will probably never post them on this blog. They will make it hopefully into the photo album atleast.

I am going to post a blog of what each individual boy has been up to the last month or so after I am done with this one. So, stay posted! Hopefully you will hear from me again real soon. I know you can't wait.........
